Joshua's Bio

Joshua Hernandez is a seventeen year old 12th grader attending New Design High School. Joshua born in Manhattan, New York and is currently living in Bronx, New York. In school, his best subject is math because he loves working with numbers and it is something he easily catches on to. In college Joshua Hernandez would like to major in music, music production and/or filmmaking because he has a powerful passion for music and would like to combine his music abilities with filmmaking to make his own music videos. In the future Joshua would like to be a professional vocalist / lyricist in a hardcore-rock (or maybe a hardcore-techno) band because how great would it be to have a career in a field of which he loves so much. His own hobbies and things he loves doing during his spare-time consists of writing poetry, writing lyrics, practicing and recording with his band, skating, attending his home church’s services, and hanging out with his friends. Joshua Hernandez’s talents are his ability to sing and his ability to imagine literally whole original songs in his head complete with lyrics, drum beats, bass lines, guitar lines etc. The people in his life who inspire and impact Joshua Hernandez’s the most are his mother for always pushing him to do better and to keep doing what he loves, Anthony, the bassist in his band, for teaching him (after having not known him for very long) that he doesn’t have to know anything outside of music to know who he is and who he is meant to be in life because after all, music is Joshua’s life. Another person who has impacted Joshua’s life is his friend Mani for helping him learn how to give his lyrics and poetry a powerful message and substance using original out of this world imagery. Joshua Hernandez’s personal mission in life is to truly change people’s lives using his music and his lyrics. He wants to help give people a sense of hope through music that he feels is greatly needed in the world today.
